My name is Mrs. Dora Feher Nyitrai, I'm the owner of the "de Race-Canine-Basse" basset hound kennel. Our kennelname means in french that "from the short dogs". We've chosen a french name, because the bassets has french origins, and the meaning of this name is needless to speak about. I'm the member of the Hungarian Kennel Club's Scenthound Club, and foundation member of the Hungarian Kennel Club's Basset Hound Club. 

Since I was a little child, I would like to be a breeder, in the best meaning of this word. Because of this, me and my parents bought all of the books about dogs and breeding. I'm spending a lot of time to learn as much as I can, because I think that learning can't stop ever, if I want to make the best of myself.

 Very important for me, that a basset who is successfull in the showring, has to be a worthy hound dog too, and because of it my aim as a breeder is to breed beautiful and good nosed bassets, who is correspond to be a wonderful pet in the modern world, and who has excellent nervous system, and who can be the best friend of the family's children, but mostly healthy to live happily and to make their bosses happy too. Because of it, thereunto a basset can be a breed dog in our kennel at least he/she has to be a negativ resulted hip-, elbow-, shoulder-dysplasya x-ray and a negativ glaucoma test result, after they are two years old. Our puppies are microchipped, FCI and Hungarian Kennel Club registrated with pedigree, DNA tested, and sell with a contract to their new owners. Naturally, a holistic handout is given with common dog food for a few days, and with a towel witch has sopped with the smell of "mum and the sisters/borthers", which is facilitate the first days of the puppies in their new homes.

We sell our puppies only for liable persons, who knows that a baby puppy isn't for just a few days. We are giving help for training and keeping the puppies, and follow with attention their lives.

Naturally, I can't get at this point if I wasn't meet some fantastic persons, who has gaven their advices for me at the initial dificulties and whom I always fall back on. Andrea Pallos, the president of the Hungarian Kennel Club's Scenthound Club, who has given me her friendship, and who I can appeal to in any time with any silly questions at the beginning and nowadays too.
